Uber launches helicopter service in Austin
Those heading to the Formula 1 race on Sunday can avoid Austin traffic and take a helicopter from UberChopper for $400 per person. Starting Friday at 11 a.m., customers can use the Uber app to request a chopper instead of just a car like every other day in the capital. The requester will then wait for a call from Uber so they can reserve and schedule a chopper ride for Sunday to the auto race at the Circuit of Americas. UberChopper rides will be subject to availability.
